How much does a private chef cost?
Prices start at around £35 per person and vary by chef, menu and group size. yhangry shows the full price upfront before you book, with no surprise extras. Larger groups usually pay less per head.
How far in advance do I need to book?
Most chefs need at least 48 hours, but many can take last-minute bookings within 24 hours if they’re available. Book as far in advance as you can for weekends and special dates.
Does the chef bring everything they need?
Yes. The chef brings all ingredients, cooking equipment they need, and serving items if required. All you provide is the kitchen, which is fully equipped in every Knightly Stays home.
Can the menu be adjusted for allergies or dietary needs?
Absolutely. You can message the chef directly through yhangry before confirming. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal and allergy-aware menus are all easy to arrange.
Is it just for special occasions?
Not at all. Plenty of our guests book a chef as a midweek treat, for a contractor team dinner, or simply because they don’t want to cook on their first night in. It’s whatever you want it to be.
Does the chef clean up afterwards?
Yes. yhangry chefs leave the kitchen as clean as they found it, often cleaner. No washing up, no scrubbing pans, no lingering cooking smells in the morning.
